Coach Hans, dearly known as 'Spider Coach' among the kids, is an avid runner with 13 years' experience in coaching. Before he began coaching children, he was a competitive runner for 40 years, including a personal best time of 2.27 in marathon and 31 min in 10K. His inspiration for starting this team is to give each athlete the opportunity to live a healthy lifestyle and compete against the most important person...themselves.

Coach Howard loves helping young athletes realize just how strong they are, and more importantly, how strong they can and will become. Encouragement, discipline, hard work, and proper "posture" are extremely important in his philosophy. Every practice and every competition are opportunities to learn and improve. Athletics have always been an integral part of Coach Howard's life: football, lacrosse, wrestling, weightlifting...and he loves to run. Running has always been a part of his training.
Coach Howard leads our sprint workouts, emphasizing on core, strength, and technique. He is also a Level 2 certified Climbing Coach with U.S.A. Climbing.
